The potential of ICT in Education.
ICT can enhance, enrich and extend the students learning in school. It can transform teaching and learning when deployed appropriately, substantially changing the traditional classroom where the teacher in general has control of pupils learning to one where students learn collaboratively and construct/discover knowledge for themselves. Learning is facilitated by ICT in ways that was not possible in the past.
Here at Gtec IT we understand the daily ongoing issues that ALL schools are faced with when it comes to ICT. We are a ONE STOP SHOP ICT provider for schools in that we service, support, supply, install and maintain all aspects of a schools IT infrastructure.
Our aim is to ensure your existing technology is performing to it’s best capabilities and to keep it maintained at this level . We offer every school a monthly scheduled site visit along with unlimited remote and phone support. If we are required onsite outside of the scheduled monthly visits it is also included in our annual contracts.
We are very aware of the budget restrictions that schools face and we tailor each contract to suit the individual School and we also offer payments plans.
How your school could benefit with a good Wifi Solution
WiFi networks have the potential to deliver educational benefits to support teaching and learning in a number of ways in schools. They can help to facilitate classroom situations which are more supportive of a student centred active learning model.
The main benefits are:
The Samsung SMART e-Board display’s embedded MagicIWB S2* interactive content management software solution transforms an educational experience.
As an all-in-one touch solution, Samsung’s free MagicIWB S2 programme delivers added flexibility for extensive collaboration before, during and after classes without requiring the use of separate dedicated PCs or additional devices.
A touch-activated floating menu enables users to independently control, display and shuffle between multiple screens and various text, image, audio and video content files.
